Strengthening a welcoming culture - enabling arrival, securing the future
A vibrant region needs people who stay, return or arrive for the first time – and who feel welcome. Regional Management LAG Pustertal therefore actively works to strengthen a welcoming culture in municipalities and businesses. The aim is to support newcomers, returnees and new employees as they settle in, promote social integration and, in the long term, safeguard the quality of life and work in the Pustertal and beyond.
Within the project “Strengthening a welcoming culture in municipalities”, personal yet resource-efficient welcome formats are developed together with municipal integration officers. The focus lies on direct exchange, personal contact and low-threshold access to community life. The welcome initiatives are designed to take place on a regular basis and to become sustainably embedded within the municipalities.
Complementing this, the project “Strengthening a welcoming culture in businesses” focuses on the corporate level. In view of the growing shortage of skilled workers and labour in rural areas, RMP supports companies in better integrating new employees. Key elements include the development and testing of welcome services as well as networking between businesses, institutions and regional stakeholders. The project "Come2Stay" builds on the results of the predecessor project and transitions the pilot phase developed there into a long-term, firmly established implementation. The goal is to sustainably support the integration and arrival of newcomers in the Dolomiti Live region and to create attractive framework conditions for new residents.
